How To Be More Productive

But not just ANY kind of productive…peacefully productive ✨ Hustling Sanely is all about trading franticness, overwhelm, and burnout for being present, purposeful, and peaceful as you work through your tasks.

We weren’t created to be machines who plow through a long list of to-dos every day. We were created to love and serve and to be mindful of our energy.

When you’re a good steward of your time, you set yourself up to be a good steward of your energy, too, ya know?

Alright here are the tips to be more peacefully productive:

This is a Reel that I originally shared on my personal Instagram: @jessmmassey

01. Listen to lofi tunes.
When I’m focusing on work tasks, having calming lofi music keeps my energy level up without distracting me. You can 10/10 borrow the lofi playlist I made called Hustling Sanely on Spotify 🎧

02. Diffuse some energy-boosting scents.
I think that playing off of our senses really does have the potential to up our productivity game (hearing above and now smell). I love diffusing peppermint and any citrus oil to help keep me alert when it’s time to be productive 👃🏼 (I think this is the first time I’ve ever used the nose emoji, lol)

03. Use the Hustle Sanely 5 method.
The 👏🏼 best 👏🏼 productivity 👏🏼 tip of them all! Seriously, using HS5 has changed my life. And it’s so cool to read about how it’s changing yours too!

Hustle Sanely 5 (HS5) is a list of 5 intentional things the Hustle Sanely Squad does every day to help us be peacefully productive:

1. Complete your Focus 3.

2. Move for 30 minutes.

3. Tidy for 15 minutes.

4. Say or do one kind thing for yourself.

5. Say or do one kind thing for someone else.

04. Put your phone out of reach.
This has been the biggest game changer for me when it comes to actually getting stuff done. BYE PHONE 👋🏼📞

Need help with phone boundaries in general? I’ve got a whole podcast episode for you where I share 6 phone boundaries that will help you protect your mental health + productivity:

05. Keep your workspace tidy.
A cluttered physical space = a cluttered mental space.
And a cluttered mental space is where productivity goes to die.
Keep your spaces (physical + mental) tidy!
