Peppermint Mocha Smoothie 🎄

The fall pumpkin spice latte smoothie recipe was such a hit so I decided to come up with a winter smoothie recipe for y’all! I give you: THE PEPPERMINT MOCHA SMOOTHIE! This is another high fat smoothie that keeps me full for 4-5 hours and is perfect for bringing to work. I make my smoothie the night before, pour it into a Yeti cup, pop it in the fridge, then grab it on my way out the door the next morning.

If you've read this post, you know that I love starting my day with a smoothie. Especially one that is full of protein + healthy fats. It keeps me full for a few hours and it's a perfect on the go option.

So how the heck did I make this thing? Let me fill you in!

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk

  • 1 cup of chocolate almond milk

  • 1/4 cup of cold brew coffee (I use this one)

  • Handful of ice

  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds

  • 1 serving of chocolate protein (I use this one)

  • 1 tablespoon of nut butter (I used raw almond)

  • 1-2 drops of peppermint essential oil (I use Young Living’s vitality peppermint oil - be cautious of ingesting essential oils if you are using a grocery store brand - I would not recommend it)

  • Optional toppings: crushed candy canes + cacao nibs

What You’ll Do:

Put all ingredients (except for the toppings) in a high speed blender (I use a Vitamix) and blend away. Pour your smoothie into a cute mason jar (bc why drink a smoothie if it's not aesthetic, am I right), add the toppings, and pop a metal straw in to enjoy!

I’ve had this smoothie every day since December 1 and will probably continue through the holiday season! Give this recipe a try and let me know what you think!
